The Forest Showcase Food & Drink Festival 2013
More than 70 local producers were here undercover in our marquees, plus hands on children’s activities, skills workshops by Gloucestershire College, live music, expert talks, arts & crafts stalls and many community stands.
Each year we try to bring you a wealth of free cookery demonstrations designed to get you cooking with hints, tips and secrets from the experts. In 2013 our fabulous chefs brought you “A taste of the Forest” amongst them was Martin Adams, Head Chef from the Tudor Farmhouse Hotel and Yvette Farrell from Harts Barn Cookery School.
The festival was opened by Gregg Wallace, BBC TV food personality who was at the event as guest of honour and was available throughout the day to meet fellow food enthusiasts.
“What a fantastic day made all the better by the sunshine, a great advert for local producers in the forest and very well supported by all. Speech house it was a very good venue”

“The Forest Showcase was a brilliant event with so much sunshine and very many visitors. It is really a joy to meet and talk with so many people”
‘the Showcase was one of the most memorable. The weather unseasonably fantastic, great atmosphere of music and people musing about the place. Probably the most organised event we have been to this year. All the conditions were right with the right mix of producers’.
Graham Waddington, Native Breeds
“the Forest Food Showcase was a fantastic event. People thoroughly enjoyed the Perry making demonstration and we also received a positive response to our tastings. The whole event was well organised and attended. It was a great celebration of Forest produce.”
