A big THANK YOU to all of you who came along to The Spring Food Festival, tried something new, tasted delicious food, learned from some of our leading chefs, planted a seed, supported our producers, took part in some circus skills, spotted a pirate or two, supped a pint, listened to the music and enjoyed the atmosphere….

A big thank you to all those who helped make the day a great success. It was fabulous to see so many organisations, businesses and local groups come together and create such a buzz.

A special thanks as well to our great festival team, it was a pleasure to work with you all.

Who was there…..

A gastronomic delight, bringing together the greatest selection of flavours & tastes, with over 100 exhibitors from in & around the Forest of Dean.

Discover some of the best street food from the area!

We bring you a variety of cookery demonstrations from some of the areas top chefs designed to get you cooking with hints, tips & secrets from the experts.

Innovative and original artists, makers and designers showcase and sell their work in our arts & craft marquee.

Learn some simple cookery skills which can be replicated at home. You will be taught how to make the dishes & take home your food at the end of the workshop. 

Harts Barn Cookery School will be returning this year with their Fire cages to showcase Fire Cooking, food cooked at its best on wood and natural charcoal.

A highly entertaining traditional Punch & Judy Show with all the traditional characters: PunchJudy, the baby, the policeman, the crocodile and the ghost.

Live music throughout the day from some of the areas fabulous musicians. A very popular area of the festival, it has been known for spontaneous dancing to break out!

Entertainment & stalls full of information about the Forest of Dean, gardening, composting, green living, animal husbandry, beekeeping plus lots more…

Gardening tips & workshops, “Little Seedlings” kids garden area. Explore exciting ways to encourage your child’s connection to food, plants, wildlife and the environment, and nurture their mind with lots of fun-filled activities.

Drop in Circus skills workshops plus two circus shows during the day.
