Under 4 weeks to go!

The Festival is approaching fast and the programme is packed with cookery demonstrations and master classes from fabulous chefs. Over 80 Forest of Dean food & drink producers will come together and you’ll find everything from wild game to cheese, from artisan bread to apples and pears, and beers to cordials.

Lots of stands full of information on keeping bees and livestock, composting, and growing your own. Arts & Crafts, live music and talks.

Beat the queues and buy your ticket online before the day so that you can walk straight in.

This year’s event will feature more children’s activities than ever before with ‘Humble by Nature’, Kate Humble’s farm in the Wye Valley providing lots of harvest fun with opportunities for youngsters to make themselves a harvest crown. There will also be the chance to grind yourself some flour, which you can take home in a small bag, along with a little recipe sheet for using the flour.

Harts Barn Cookery School based in Longhope will also be at the festival providing workshops for families and children: Pasta making, Flatbread making, Cupcake decorating demonstration and a Spice Challenge, always a winner with families

Each year we bring you a variety of cookery demonstrations from some of the areas top chefs designed to get you cooking with hints, tips and secrets from the experts.

Cooking everything from the perfect breakfast with French toast & sausages, a ready steady cook challenge, something fishy from Martin Adams from the Tudor farmhouse Hotel & a taste of the Forest from Yvette Farrell from Harts Barn Cookery School.
